Send My Friend to School

The APPG works closely with the Send My Friend to School Campaign, a UK civil society coalition of international development NGOs, teachers’ unions and charities.

It brings together young people, politicians, teachers, civil society and the media in joint campaigning to demand quality education for all.

Each year around 5,000 schools and 500,000 young people take part in the campaign, teaching young people the power and importance of using their voices with others across the world to create positive change.

In March 2025, Send My Friend to School launched the “Invest in My Friends’ Learning Campaign” making the case for how the UK can reprioritise and protect funding for global education. The APPG also partnered with Send My Friend to support its Day of Action in Parliament, which included a briefing session with the Minister of State for Development, Baroness Chapman. The session was hosted by our Chair, Bambos Charalambous MP.
