DFID provides funding to the provincial governments of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to help improve educational standards. Our investments help raise standards by increasing teacher and student attendance, improving school facilities, and improving children’s learning outcomes. In Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa DFID is also supporting government to revise textbooks and replace any content that promotes prejudice and discrimination against religious or other minorities.
